Learn Through Food: Workshops, Talks & Lunch & Learns
At Maskwa Gourmet, education is at the heart of what we do. We believe food is one of our most powerful teachers — it connects us to land, history, and each other. Through our Food with Story Experiences, Lunch & Learn sessions, and Canadian Food Systems Talks, we invite participants to explore how sustainable agriculture, traditional knowledge, and cultural foodways shape what ends up on our plates.
Each session can be tailored for schools, community groups, or corporate settings — blending storytelling, guided tastings, and real-world learning about Canada’s evolving food landscape.

Lunch & Learn Sessions
Designed for corporate, organizational, or educational environments, our Lunch & Learn sessions pair meaningful discussion with good food. Each session explores topics like Canadian sustainable agriculture, Métis food traditions, and the future of local food systems — helping teams understand the human and environmental story behind their meals.
Sustainable Agriculture & Culinary Workshops
Our workshops bridge traditional knowledge and modern innovation — creating space to explore how food connects culture, sustainability, and technology. Sessions can focus on sustainable agriculture, Métis and Indigenous recipes, or be tailored to your organization’s needs.
Workshops can range from a technical focus on supply chains, agri-tech, and food system innovation, to a traditional approach centered on Métis and Indigenous teachings, seasonal ingredients, and land-based practices.
Each experience is fully customizable — from a short 20-minute talk with a themed snack that showcases the topic, to a hands-on workshop or round-table discussion designed to fit your group’s goals, time, and level of engagement
